Only administrators with the highest levels of access to LMS data are able to see how many times individual students have logged into the system. Because these top-level administrators are not mentioned as an answer choice on the survey the only viable answer to the question would be “nobody”, unless a student manually kept track of how many times they logged into their LMS, which is a highly-unlikely circumstance.
Correct response rates across administrators, faculty, and students were 17%, 10%, and 21%, respectively, and relatively low. The majority of administrators (40%) believe that access to this information is granted to faculty and TAs, but restricted for the student. 30% of faculty chose this answer as well, though a higher percentage of faculty (37%) opted for the “don’t know” answer choice. The majority of students (44%) chose the “don’t know” answer choice. All three groups appeared to view this data in more of a confidential manner, though there was not much consensus as to where to draw the line.
“Don’t knows” made up 17% of administrators’ responses, 37% of faculty responses, and over 44% of student responses, indicating that overall confidence levels were fairly low across the board for this question.
